Obituary for Jody Camper

Jody Lee (Lafferty) Camper, 63 of Kenton passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022.

She was born on November 22, 1958 to Norman and Thelma (Sheets) Lafferty in Kenton. Jody married John Camper and he preceded her in death. She then married Lee Watkins and they have been married for 30 years.

Surviving is her mother, Thelma Lafferty, children; Ben (Jessica) Camper, Kyle (Jen) Camper, Dustin Watkins, Nick Watkins, granddaughters; Baily, Shelby, Khloe, Alex and four great grandchildren. Jody is also survived by her siblings; Sheryl (Gary) Camper, Tammy Bordner, Scott Lafferty, Tracy (Allen) Huffman and a special son, Rob Burd. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Lafferty and a brother-in-law, Andy Bordner. Jody loved her family, her children and grandchildren were very special to her. She was also known as the “Fun Aunt” and will be greatly missed by her family. She was a huge animal lover who, over the years, had numerous animals.
She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing Karaoke. Jody also enjoyed photography.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton where the family will receive friends from 11:00am Thursday until the time of service.

A private burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jody to the family c/o Stout-Crates Funeral Home.
