Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed.

Johnny died on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on January 28, 1959, in Kenton to the late Steve and Osie (Slone) Whitaker. On May 29, 1984, he married Sheila Stephens, and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are niece Ryleigh Stephens at home, sisters Rosie (Mort) Dyer of Dunkirk and Connie (Harry) Sharp of Jackson Center, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by brother Charles “Charlie” Whitaker.

Johnny was a 1977 Kenton High School graduate. He was the owner and operator of Whitaker Enterprises his entire life.

Johnny was a workaholic who loved his job at “The Yard”. It gave him a sense of community and allowed him to give back. He was always doing for others whenever he could and usually without recognition. Johnny was involved heavily with the community, being a member of the Kenton Moose, Eagles, Elks, Shriners and the Oak Harbor Church in Dunkirk. When he wasn’t at work, Johnny was always ready for a good time. He loved his family and everyone knew his door was always open. He will be deeply missed.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hardin County Shriners or the Helen Mabry Shoe Fund. Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.net.
