A graveside committal service for Jolene “Jodi” Bays will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the St. Mary’s (Grove) Cemetery in Kenton with Father Ed Shikina officiating. Jodi passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born on February 1, 1955 in Kenton to the late Robert and Joan (Taylor) West. On September 17, 1976 she married Kenneth Bays and he survives in Ada.

Also surviving are 3 children; Brian (Holly) Bays of Kenton, Robert Bays of Forest, Carole (Matt) Dawson of Kenton, a brother; Craig (Starla) West of Kenton, a sister-in-law; Debbie West of Kenton, a brother-in-law; Robert Ramsdell of Lakeview, grandchildren; Carter Bays, Makenzie Bays, Brayden Bays, Brooklyn Bays, Cami Bays, JoLee Dawson, Collin Dawson, a great-granddaughter on the way; Maycee Layne and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Denny West, a sister; Pam Ramsdell, and a granddaughter; Brianna Bays.

Jodi was a 1974 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked as a dietician manager for several various local nursing homes. She was an auxiliary member of the Amvets Post 1994 and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton.

She was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan, and enjoyed playing pull tabs even though she always lost more than she won. Most of all, family was what was most important thing to Jodi. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and was the glue that stuck everyone together. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jodi’s honor may be made to the Amvets Post 1994 in Kenton or to the funeral home in care of the family.

Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.net.
