of Kenton

Joy Ann (Heidtman) Gordon was called to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024. Joy was born August 30, 1938, to the late Carl and Luella Heidtman of Toledo, Ohio. She is survived by her two sons, Donald (Sandra) Gordon of Toledo, Ohio and Jeffrey (Trudy) Gordon of Kenton, Ohio. Five grandchildren; Mark (Jessica) Gordon of Jackson Township, Ohio, Robin (Eric) Rosebrook of Kenton, Ohio, Melissa Gordon of Toledo, Ohio, Kevin (Ruth Ann) Gordon of Milford, Pennsylvania, and Jason Gordon of Toledo, Ohio. Nine great grandchildren; Kylie (John) Puckett of Kenton, Ohio, Tyler (Becky Piroch) Rosebrook of Findlay, Ohio, Mary Rosebrook, Ethan Salmal, Faith Gordon, Elijah Gordon, Parker Gordon, Genevieve Gordon, and Giuliette Gordon. Nine great-great grandchildren Addison, Elizabeth, Annabelle, Aubree, Avianna, Gracelyn, Clyde, Penelope, Roycephus. Joy is preceded in death by her husband, George Gordon, her parents, Carl and Luella Heidtman, and her brother, Donald Heidtman. 

Joy was a very talented seamstress. She was a retired Librarian from Washington Township school district in Toledo, Ohio. She was a devoted mother to her two boys. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would love it when her grandchildren would come visit her. It was the highlight of her day! She loved to golf and race sailboats in her early days. She will be dearly missed by all her family, friends, and especially all the nurses and staff at Hardin Hills. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Kenton, Ohio. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
