of Piqua formerly of Kenton

A celebration of life service for Joy Keeran will be held at 2:30 P.M. on  Sunday, September 26, 2021 at The Walnut Grove United Methodist Church of Kenton with Rev. Douglas Flinn officiating. Friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to services at the church.The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joy passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was born on April 30, 1962 in Kenton to Judy (Friend: Steve Flack) Leiberick of Kenton and the late Jerry Ray Styer. On October 5, 1985, Joy married the love of her life, Calvin Keeran and he survives in Piqua. 

Also surviving are 2 nephews; Michael and Jason Styer and her beloved dog; Willie G. 

She was preceded in death by a brother; James Nelson Styer, a step-father; Jim Leiberick and a step-mother; Betty Styer.

Joy was a 1980 Kenton High School graduate. She also attended Edison State University, earning an associates degree, before moving onto Wright State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Joy worked retail for a Hallmark store and sold Paparazzi Jewelry.

She was an active member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church where she helped run the Food Pantry. 

Joy was an active motorcycle enthusiast, who loved to ride in the New Hampshire Mountains.

Memorial donations may be made to the Food Bank at the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 S. Walnut Street, Fletcher, Ohio, 45326.
