Judith Ann (Cheney) Lianos, age 79 of Tiffin, Ohio, and previously of Upper Sandusky and Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on May 21, 2021 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin, Ohio.

Judith was born on December 26, 1941 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Chester and Marguerite (Bolyard) Cheney who proceeded her in death. Judith was also proceeded in death by her husband, James Lianos (2005), her daughter, Susan Kay Lianos (2020), and her five brothers, Jim, Larry, Randy, Dennis and Steven Cheney.

Judith is survived by her brother, Roger Cheney. Surviving nieces and nephews, Beth (Ed) Brown, Tammy Sigero both of Upper Sandusky (Steven), Jill (Robert) Simmons of Ada, Ohio and Jan (Charles) Kiess of Madison, Ohio(Georgia). Dennis Jr, Daryl and Lora (Dennis), Austin, Cindy, Lyle, Craig, Tara, and Sandra (Jim), Nicole (Randy), Richard and Mike (Larry) and Jacob and Anna (Roger).

She graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1959. and worked at Bowling Green State University as a cook and food service supervisor. She was a fabulous cook. One memory is her crown roast at Easter dinner which was picture perfect! Her pecan pie and oyster dressing at Thanksgiving were fabulously delicious. She looked forward to family gatherings and loved to hear what everyone was “up to”.

Judith had a smile and a chuckle that was like no other. She enjoyed recounting family memories such as riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle, later recalling it as “such fun”.

She provided care for all her family, going beyond to babysit the little ones, buy presents each Christmas, and do whatever she could to help. She encouraged them every step of the way.

Judith was a competitive euchre player and loved it when she could recruit enough players for a game. She loved food and sweets and going out for meals. Judy loved animals, always caring for a couple dogs and cats in her home.
The family appreciates the care she received at Autumnwood Care Center. Special gratitude goes to Niece Beth Brown and great-nephew Collin Brown who assisted her for the last 11 years with loving and dependable care. The family will truly miss her in our lives.

A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will be held at 10:00-11:00 a.m. on June 26, 2021 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with graveside services following at Old Mission Cemetery.
