Judith ‘Judy” Jean (Jacobs) Ramsey 81

of Ridgeway

Judith “Judy” Jean Ramsey, 81, of Ridgeway, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, at Mary Rutan Hospital. Judy was born February 5th, 1942, in Bellefontaine to the late Earl and Jean (Farrington) Jacobs of Ridgeway, Ohio.
Judy was a 1960 graduate of Ridgeway High School. She married Phillip Ramsey on September 4th, 1960, and they settled down on the family farm outside of Ridgeway. They raised four children, the late Kenneth Ramsey, Kathy (Kent) Jones of West Mansfield, Keith (Bridget) Ramsey of Ridgeway, and Karen (Mike) Huisman of Marysville.
Judy took great pride in spending her life caring for the people and the things around her. She was known for spending hours crafting the perfect card for every occasion and utilizing her green thumb to grow an abundant garden of foods and flowers. Judy was an avid Ohio State fan. She served as an EMT and a 4-H advisor. In addition to serving her community, she was most proud of her ability to dedicate every moment she had working on the family farm while caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Through her, we all learned what patience, love, commitment, and hard work was. She is survived by her beloved husband Phillip, and three of their children and their spouses.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) and Matthew Simpson; Colby, Jordan, and Gabe Ramsey; Jason (Mysti) and Charlotte Ramsey; Kyle (Jen), Nathan, Will, and Logan Jones; Kurtis (Ashley), Kennedy and Harrison Jones; Kasey (Destiny) and Waylon Jones; Kirk, Kane, and Kooper Ramsey; Hailey (Timothy) and Judah Rodriguez; Shelby (Steffen) Jameson and Grayson DeLong; Jacob and Hanna Huisman, her sister Janice Miller, and her nieces and nephews, all whom she loved and adored.
A funeral service for Judy will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery outside of Mt. Victory. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Judy’s honor may be made to the Ridgeway United Methodist Church or to 4-H in care of the Hardin County Extension Office.
