Funeral services for Kenneth E. Schlatter, Jr., will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow at Hueston Cemetery. Friends and family may visit two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Masks will be required and social distancing should take place when applicable.
Kenneth died on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1944 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Kenneth E. Schlatter Sr. and Marybell (Peart) Schlatter. He married Judith Ann Price and she preceded him in death on January 30, 2021.
Surviving are daughter Lori (Sam) Kalb of Kenton, sons Scott (Charity) Schlatter of Dunkirk and Brett (Kerri) Schlatter of Kenton, sisters Kolleen Stewart of Houcktown and Kristina (Steve) VanBuskirk of Kenton, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth graduated from the last class of Forest High School. He was the owner and operator for over 30 years of Dunkirk Assembly. He was a member and former Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Kenton and a former member of the Oddfellows in Forest. Kenneth was also a member of the Hardin County Historical Society. He loved collecting and restoring Kenton toys, old cars and Civil War memorabilia and going antiquing with his wife.
Memorial donations may be made to the FIrst Baptist Church in Kenton or the Hardin County Museum.Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.net.
