of Ridgeway

A mass of christian burial for Kevin D. Stahler will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton with Father Ed Shikina officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and Family may visit from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory.

Kevin passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at The OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on November 9, 1963 in Kenton to Daniel and Jo Ann (Bloom) Stahler and they survive in Kenton. On August 7, 1982 he married Christine E. Rapp and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2016.

Surviving are 2 sons; Krane (Elizabeth) Stahler of Kenton, Kyle (Morgan) Stahler of Ridgeway, a sister; Jo Lee (George) Winebrenner of Kenton, a brother; Andy Stahler of Rushsylvania, grandchildren; Kaelynn, Brantley, Cameron, Claire, Grace, and one on the way, sister-in-laws; Bernadette (Stewart) Coates of Ridgeway, Becky (Mark) Jones of Bellefonatine, Katherine (Rob) Temple of Kenton, several nieces, nephews, his “Girl Buddy”; Anita Mouser of Ridgeway and her daughters; Miranda (Max) Rothfuss, Madison (Derek) Weaver, and special friends; Scott and Tracy Hatfield. 

Kevin graduated from Ridgemont High School in 1982. He worked for Hardin County for over 25 years doing various jobs and holding several positions.

He was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a past Faithful Navigator and a Grand Knight.

Kevin was a huge Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing, and he instilled those passions into his children. Family was what was most important to Kevin, and he spent as much time with them as he could. He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. 

Memorial donations in Kevin’s honor may be made to the Knights of Columbus in Kenton or St. Vincent DePaul.
