A memorial service for Kimberly Rae Acton will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Preston Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Kim passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital ER. She was born on March 4, 1964, in Kenton to the late Clyde Everett Acton Sr and Lela Mae (Nichols) Acton. She married Michael Bickle and they later divorced.

Surviving is a son, Michael (Jess) Bickle of St. Augustine, FL, a daughter, Rhetta Bickle of Kenton, brothers; Larry Acton Trent of Kenton, Barry Acton of Kenton, sisters; Linda (Larry) Henry of Dola, Jane (Richard) Madison Jr of Kenton, grandchildren; Alia Mabrey of Findlay, Kelsey and Kaden Bressler of Kenton, Kaitlyn and Caleb Bevins of Kentucky, Jayce, Braylon, Addisyn Bickle of St. Augustine, FL, Madallen Levering of Upper Sandusky, great-granddaughter; Oaklynn Cameron of Ada and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her grandparents, Abraham Lincoln and Alice (Nickles) Nichols, a daughter, Tashina May Bickle, brothers; Kenneth Acton-Nichols, Bernard Acton-Hurn, Jack Acton, Jan Acton, Clyde E. Acton Jr, a sister; Betty Acton-Harrington and a nephew, Mike Voland. 

Kim was a member of the Saponi Nation of Ohio. She enjoyed collecting arrowheads and going to powwows to celebrate her Native American heritage. She also enjoyed going to yard sales in her free time.  

Kim loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She would help anyone who asked for it and had a natural instinct to help care for others. Kim was a free spirit and will be missed.

Memorial donations in Kim’s honor may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
