A celebration of life service for Larry Wayne Hollen will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born on November 17, 1951 in Salem, Indiana to the late Robert and Jean (Radcliffe) Hollen.
Surviving are his significant other; Sherry Rowe of Kenton, 4 sons; Brian Hollen of Salem, IN, Todd Rowe of Kenton, Dean Rowe Jr of Kenton, Travis Rowe of Kenton, a sister; Linda Harding of Salem, IN, 6 grandchildren; Aaron Hollen, Austin Hollen, Brittany Saxton, Devin Rowe, Presley Rowe, Makenzie Rowe, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son; Aaron Hollen, and a brother; Robert Hollen.
Larry was a proud United State Army Veteran serving during Vietnam. He served for over 20 years and retired as a recruiter and a Sergeant First Class.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting sporting clays and was a member of the NRA.
Larry had a true passion for music. He played  rhythm guitar and was a lead singer for over 40 years in different bands, including the Silver Mountain Band and Pickin and Grinnin. When he wasn’t playing music, Larry also like to bowl and spend as much time with his grandchildren as he could.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any youth program of the donors choice.
