Obituary for Lee R. Bailey

Lee R. Bailey age 86 of Forest died at his residence on July 27, 2023. He was born on May 24, 1937 in Hardin Co. to the late John and Susan (DeRossett) Bailey. He married Mary L. Hart on Nov. 4, 1961 and she survives along with their children John Russell (Michelle) Bailey, Sycamore, Ronald (Alicia) Bailey, Forest, grandchildren Jeremy (Melissa) Krider, Josh Krider, Jonathan (Miranda) Mosman, Jevon (Cassie) Bailey, Miranda (Mike) Randolph, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Joe (Betty) Baily, Dean (Gail) Bailey, Jarvee (Bonnie) Bailey, Johnny (Shirley) Bailey, Jim (Deb) Bailey and Tim (Vicki) Bailey. He is preceded in death by a daughter Susan Bailey, brothers John and George, sisters Catherine, Mae & Kae.

Lee was a farmer and had worked at Superior Coach, Lima, he retired from Guardian Glass, Upper Sandusky. He was a U.S. veteran and served in the Navy from 1954-1958 when he then transferred to the U.S. Naval Reserve until 1962. During his time in service he traveled as a Navy Seal.

Lee was a hard worker and was an example to his family. He enjoyed his grandchildren, his great grandchildren and he will be greatly missed.

A full military graveside service will be held at Preston Cemetery Alger, OH at 11:00AM on Aug. 4, 2023.
