Lewis K. Fisher 87

of Ridgeway

Lewis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his residence outside of Ridgeway surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ridgeway on October 29, 1934 to the late John and Bertha (Kinsey) Fisher. He married Patricia McCann and she survives in Ridgeway.

Also surviving are a daughter; Laura (Richard) Wallace, a son; John Brian (Kristy) Fisher, 8 grandchildren; Paige Fisher, Brianne Fisher, Haley Fisher, Melissa Lopez, Roman Lopez, Kristi Comstock, Amanda (Jordan) Iiams, Tara Peloquin, Josh Peloquin and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Terry Lynn and a sister; Miriam Fisher.

Lewis was a 1952 graduate of Ridgeway High School. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Lewis also was a Civil Air Patrol Squadron Commander for the United States Air Force Auxiliary Squadron 904.

He went on to get his commercial pilot license and retired as Chief of the Kenton City Police Department after a long career of 25 years. He also worked as a court security officer for several years and as a site supervisor for the Southern District of Ohio. 

Lewis will be remembered as a man who loved his family and had a great sense of humor. 

A private family burial for Lewis K. Fisher will take place at Hale Cemetery at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lewis’ honor may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or Interim Hospice.
