Funeral services for Lois Marie Barringer will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M at the Funeral Home.

Lois passed away on September 29, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. She was born on March 26, 1945 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late John Sherwood Dendinger and Dorothy (Tanner) Dendinger. She married Stanford Evans and they later divorced. On March 9, 1991 she married Daniel Barringer and he survives in Dunkirk.

Also surviving are her daughters; Jodi (Dave) Beckly of Circleville, Amy (Rich) Sleasman of Findlay, Melissa (Jason) Eagon of Findlay, sons; Mike (Nikki) Evans of Lansing, Kanas, Rob (Shannon) Evans of Rives Junction, Michigan, Terry (Christy) Evans of Dunkirk, 2 sisters; Ruth (Herschel) Honeycutt of North Fairfield, Sandra Dendinger of Greenwich, 2 brothers; John (Becky) Dendinger of Greenwich, Roy Dendinger of North Fairfield, 28 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son; Tim Evans and an infant great-grandson; Ryder Gossard.

Lois owned her own hair salon in Dunkirk for many years.

She was a member of the Bridgeport Church. Lois was also extremely involved with Operation Chritmas Child in the Dunkirk area, as well as a sewing group called the Sewin Sews.

Lois loved talking and shopping. She never knew a stranger was willing to help anyone. Lois also enjoyed birdwatching with her husband. Lois’ true joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her. 

Memorial donations in honor of Lois may be made to the Bridgeport Church.
