Obituary for Lou Ann (Peterson) Purdy

Lou Ann (Peterson) Purdy, 68 of Kenton, passed away at 6:35pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio on October 16, 1954 to the late Richard R. Peterson and Shelva J. (Woodward) Frueh. In 1973, she married Joseph A. Purdy and he preceded her in death.

Lou Ann is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Rebecca) Purdy and Daniel Purdy; grandson, Joseph Lee Purdy; brother, Ricky R. Peterson; twin sister, Sue Ann (David) McCrary and sister, Debra (Edward-deceased) Burrows; stepmother, Ilean Peterson; stepbrother, Michael (Pauline) Pletcher; stepsisters, Mary Pletcher and Christine (Steve) Simon, and many nieces and nephews.

Lou Ann was a 1973 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School. She enjoyed knitting, fishing and crocheting. Most of all, Lou Ann loved her family and spending time with them.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
