Louise Audine Koehler, a beloved farmer, devoted family member, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 25 2024, at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton, Ohio. She was born on July27, 1934, in Kenton, Ohio, to Franklin Jay and Ruth (Nee Kurt) Garmon. Audine married Franklin Jay Koehler on March 9, 1957 and their life was marked by an unwavering love for their family and an enduring passion for farming.
Throughout her years, she took immense joy in showing sheep at the county fair, where she once proudly won the State Fair in Market Lambs. Audine cultivated not only crops but also rich memories and lasting bonds. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sewing, playing cards with friends, or attending her grandchildren’s many events. Audine was an active member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star. For 10 plus years she worked for Rockwell International. A true beacon of support and encouragement, Audine was particularly proud of her family’s accomplishments. Her pride swelled as she watched her grandchildren excel in life.
Audine leaves behind her loving son, Kelvin J. Koehler, of Forest and her treasured grandchildren: Josh (Whitney) Koehler of Franklin, OH, Kyle (Cortney Deets) Koehler of Forest, OH, Anna (Jordan Vermillion) Koehler of Arlington, and Carter Koehler. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Lucille and Harrison Koehler, who were a source of immense joy in her later years. She also leaves behind her sister, Ruth Ann (Larry) Richards of Findlay; her brothers, Rowe (Linda) Garmon of Kenton, and Max Garmon; and numerous friends who will miss her warmth and kindness.
Audine was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jennell Koehler; her parents; sisters; Donna Sue Garmon; Maxine and Connie Garmon; and sister and brother-in-law Carolyn (Claude) Stephens. The impact of her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.
To honor her remarkable life, a visitation will take place on Friday August 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Clark Shields Funeral Home in Forest, Ohio, funeral service will follow at 11:00AM, burial will be held at Hueston Cemetery, Forest. Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson Forest, OH 45843.
