Funeral services for Marilyn A. Shirk will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Marilyn died on February 7, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1931 to the late Edward and Maxine (Spathe) Mullady. She married Harold Richard Shirk and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are 1 son; Thomas (Annetta) Shirk, 1 daughter; Pamela Hamilton, 1 sister; Jenny Mullady-Moore, 5 grandchildren; Aaron (Tarra Meyer) Shirk, Stacey (Jerome) Hamilton-Davis, Katie (Josh) Keim, Sarah (Steve) Smith, Rylan (Samantha) Hamilton, great grandchildren; Conner and Tyler S. Shirk, Blake and Karson Davis, Logan and MaKayla Brown Alyssa, Trey and Trinity Smith, great-great grandson on the way.
Marilyn was preceded in death by 1 son; Duane Shirk, 3 brothers; Patrick, James, Donald (Chub) Mullady, 1 sister; Barbara Jones and great grandchild; Tyler E. Shirk.
Marilyn and her husband owned JCJ Sporting Goods and Club Chalet in Kenton.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting several exchange students and could take an entire day just crocheting.
