of Kenton

Funeral services for Martha Bushong will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Fairview-McDonald Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the funeral home.

Martha died on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Blanchard Place in Kenton. She was born on January 30, 1934 in Kenton to the late Fred and Selma Mae (James) McKinley. On June 27, 1954 she married Richard “Dick” Bushong and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2021. 

Surviving are 2 daughters; Joyce Ann (Rick Quinn) Bushong of Dublin, Julie (Bryce) Oliver of Hillard, 4 grandchildren; D.J Bushong, Brent Bushong, Nathan (Stella) Oliver, Preston (Martha) Oliver, 4 great-grandchildren; Kristyn, Lexie, Kelsey, Melina, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son; Michael Bushong, and her siblings; Arlo McKinley, Evidene Keisel, and Hayes McKinley.

Martha was a 1952 graduate of Mt. Victory High School. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for various companies around Kenton including North electric, the Heritage Co-op and her and her husband’s business; Bryan Electric.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Kenton and the Painter Creek Grange. In her free time, Martha enjoyed baking and playing the piano. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband for many years in their motorhome.

Memorial donations in Martha’s honor may be made to the Faith Baptist Church or the Painter Creek Grange.
