A celebration of life for Mary Beth (Wright) Howard will be held at the Kenton Eagles on Friday, October 27, 2023 starting at 2:00 P.M. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Mary passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Mary was born on September 10th, 1964, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Richard and Marianne (Schook) Wright. Mary attended Kenton Senior High School Class of ’82. She married John Anspach and they later divorced. She then partnered with Johnny Bennett Jr. She married Jeff Howard on September 28, 2019 and he survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are her children, Gayle Wright Clark, Johnna (Chad Ritchie) Anspach, Kyle Anspach, John (Amy) Bennett III, Mari Bennett and stepdaughter, Wendy Howard, 12 grandchildren, brothers; Keith, Don, David and Doug Wright and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her sister, Becky, sister-in-law’s, Peg Wright, and Tammy Wright, along with niece, Sara Wright.

Mary worked for Superior Trim and belonged to the Eagles and the Amvets Post 1994. Mary loved music, dancing, Halloween, car rides in the ’65 Impala with Jeff, her partner in crime of 20 years, finding a deal on Amazon and her dog Willow. Mary loved to bake, cook, and grill. Especially large dishes for gatherings she loved to host. You could find Mary indulging in any true crime tv or book series along with playing cards. Mary was guilty of letting her grandchildren get away with anything, she loved them very much. Mary was happiest surrounded by friends and family on a hot summer’s day with an ice-cold drink in hand.

Memorial donations in Mary’s honor may be made to the Helping Hands Outreach in Kenton.
