of Mt. Victory
A funeral service for Myrtle Grace Lingrel will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Pastor Jeff Weagneer officiating. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
Myrtle died on Friday, September 17, 2021 at her daughters residence, under hospice after a long illness. She was born on June 22, 1926 in Hardin County to the late Lanson and Alva (Brown) Fout. On September 12, 1942 she married her soulmate, Lauren A. Lingrel and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2013.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Bonnie (Gary) Johnson, Linda (Tim) Sparling, Debbie (Chris Delong) Lingrel, 11 grandchildren, numerus great and great-great grandchildren and 2 special friends Jamie and Lori.
She was preceded in death by a son; Lauren L. Lingrel, 4 great-granddaughters; Whitney, Shelby, Lauren, Michelle, and her siblings; Margaret Koetz, Marie Smith, Harold Fout, Roy Fout and Norman Fout.
Myrtle was a member of the York Center Methodist Church where she was involved with the Ladies Aid group.
She was a retired meter reader for Union Rural Electric Company as well as a farmer. She loved baking, cooking, gardening, and playing cards. Family was most important to Myrtle, she was always helping take care of her whole family, especially her grandchildren. If she wasn’t busy with the kids or taking care of the house, she could be found on the farm helping her husband.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ohio Loving Hospice of Columbus.
