Obituary for Myrtle Irene Mahan

Myrtle Irene Mahan, age 95 of Forest died Fri. June 9, 2023 at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1928 in Willow Wood to the late Elmer & Nancy (Callicott) Corn. Irene married Forrest A. Mahan on May 17, 1946 and he passed Oct. 12, 1995.

Mrs. Mahan is survived by her daughters Peggy Hafer, Forest, Phyllis Morris, Forest, son Gary (Lauri) Mahan, Delphos, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, brothers Bill, Chester, George, sisters Agnes & Evelyn, and son-in-laws Charles Hafer and Cecil Morris.

Irene graduated from Waterloo High School. She worked at the former Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky for over 18 years. She enjoyed completing word searches, gardening, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM Tue. June 13, 2023 at the Clark Shields Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Patterson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8PM Mon.
