Norman Leroy Burba, age 89, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at his Delaware, Ohio home on February 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Formerly of Kenton and Lima, Ohio, he resided in Vincent, Ohio before moving to Delaware, Ohio.  He was born April 7, 1934 in Kenton, Ohio and preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie (Hager) Burba whom he married on May 21st, 1979; his parents Leroy and Gail Burba of Kenton, Ohio; brother Lowell (Ina) Burba of Virginia Beach, Virginia and his sister Janet (Burba) (Delmar) Manns of Kenton, Ohio.  Norman is survived by his children: Rick (Mary) Burba of Lima, Ohio; Brenda Ansley of Bellefontaine, Ohio; Cara Wierman of Delaware, Ohio; Stepsons Dan (Vaunita) Lynn of Maple Park, Illinois and Rick (Joannie) Lynn of Lima, Ohio; Stepdaughter Barbara (Jim) Cockerill of Delaware, Ohio; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He retired from Ex-Cell-o / Textron in Lima, Ohio in May of 1992 where he worked as a Tool and Die Maker for forty years.  He met and fell in love with his beloved wife Connie there.  He often said he knew he had met his match with Connie as she kept him on his toes.  He had an ability to fix anything and was a master woodworker and made beautiful furniture in his spare time.  He also had a love for fishing, a hobby he loved to share with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Norm was a tall, quiet man of few words but when he did have a comment to make, it was usually funny, from left field, and off topic which would always make everyone chuckle.

The family would like to Thank Central Ohio Primary Care and their Palliative Home Care Team as well as the Capital City Hospice organization for their immeasurable support and comforting compassion throughout his illness.

A Graveside service will begin at 11:30 on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Grove Cemetery in Kenton, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Williams Syndrome Association at www.williams-syndrome.org.  Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting www.stoutcrates.com
