Obituary for Oren Ray England

Oren Ray England, 70, of Dunkirk, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

He was born in Dunkirk on November 2, 1950 to the late Homer and Carrie (Miller) England.

Oren married Penny L. Zurcher on December 5, 1997, and she preceded him in death on June 24, 2020.

Surviving is a son: Lance England of Troy; step children: Scott Elling of Columbus; Seth Elling of Urbana; and Shantelle Burkett of Tiffin. He is also survived by his sisters: Juanita (Dale) Duffey, Keitha Williams, both of Ada; step sisters: Naomi Young and Sherolyn Evans of Dunkirk; step brother Norman Guinn of Kenton; and grandchildren: Aidan and Olivia England, Trace and Collin Burkett, Jaden and Chayse Elling and Violet Elling.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles England.

Oren was a 1968 graduate of Hardin Northern High School. He worked for and retired from Rockwell International after 30 years of service. Oren enjoyed golf and hunting. He was a member of the Dunkirk Assembly of God where he was involved with the Youth Group, the Royal Ranger Commanders.

Visitation for Oren was held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.  A funeral service and burial followed in Patterson Cemetery.
