A celebration of life for Patty Whitaker will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Kenton Eagles. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patty passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at The OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on January 6, 1950 in Carey, Ohio to the late Wilson and Hazel (Montgomery) Wages. She married Irvin Leroy Whitaker Sr and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.

Surviving are 3 sons; Kyile (Diana) Wages of Georgia, Irvin Leroy (Amber) Whitaker Jr. of Kenton, Dominic (Tara) Whitaker of Kenton, a daughter; Hazel (Cliff Hoop) Whitaker of Arlington, numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Ronnie (Deanna) Wages of Ada, Wilson (Pam Manon) Wages of Kenton, and a sister; Connie Wages of Kenton. 

She was preceded in death by 5 siblings; Bobby, Eugene, Kyle, Donald and Betty Wages.

Patty worked as a nurse’s aid and retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital. She also worked at Hardin Hills and worked as a barmaid for many years.

Her passion was playing Bingo and spending time with her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Patty’s honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
