Paul Martin “Marty” Ritzler, 80 of Kenton passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was born to the late Paul and Marcella G. (Gliebe) Ritzler in Kenton on February 29, 1944. Marty served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. On November 29, 1968 he married Barbara Legge and she survives along with three children; Duane (Amy) Ritzler, Ronda (Jeff) Hottman and Donna (Wes) Martin all of Kenton. Marty is also survived by seven grandchildren; Brittany Wilcox, Bobby Handell, Jarrett Hottman, Rachelle Heydinger, Brandon Hottman, Brittanie Oglesbee, Jordan Martin and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Leland Ritzler and sister, Frankie Clements. Marty worked for Golden Giant Buildings for 20 years. He was a volunteer at the Hardin County Soup Kitchen, the past president of the Board of Hardin County Helping Hands and he was also a volunteer and huge supporter of Kenton High School Soccer where he was known as “Grandpa Marty”. Visitation for Marty will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where additional visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Jason Manns will officiate and burial will follow in Grove Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the Amvets Post 1994.
