Obituary for Philip A. McCullough

Philip A. McCullough, 91 of Kenton passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born in Hardin County on June 23, 1930 to the late Emerson and Luella (Summers) McCullough.  Philip married Marilyn Grappy on July 3, 1949 and she preceded him in death on November 11, 2005. He is survived by his sister, Eileen (Clair “Squire”) Latham of Kenton, a close nephew, Wayne McCullough of Midwest City, OK and numerous other nieces and nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford McCullough and sisters; Leona Robinson, Avis Johnson, Geraldine Lotz and Bertha Gillfillan. Mr. McCullough served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked at a plumber and pipe fitter for many years and was a member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union #189.  Philip was a member of the LaRue Masonic Lodge #463 and was a 32nd Degree Mason.  He was also a member of the Hardin County Shrine Club. A funeral service for Philip will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Monday until the time of service. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted.
