Obituary for Phyllis Ann Rockhold

Phyllis Ann Rockhold, 83 of Kenton passed away at Marion General Hospital on Friday, June 9, 2023. She was born on July 2, 1939 to the late Chadwick and Julia (Highland) Mays in Kenton. She married Robert Kilgore and he preceded her in death. She is survived by four children, Perry (Marlene) Freshour, Jewel Freshour, Lisa Freshour and Darrin (Tiffany) Rockhold; grandchildren, Nikia (Chad) Rudasill, Natasha (Lucas) Grimes, Darian (Tim) Arvin, Dalton (Aly) Rockhold, Jalen (Matthew) Snow, Jozzy Brown and Addy and six great-grandchildren, Peyton and Pierson Rudasill, Lori and Laney Grimes, Javin and Kyndall Gillfillan and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Crates, brother, Steven E. Mays, and two sisters, Patricia “Pat” Davidson, Bobbi Myers.
Phyllis worked most of her career in food service with the majority of the time at The Plaza in Mt. Victory. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her family. She loved playing cards, reading and visiting Holmes County.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30am at Wolf Creek Cemetery on Monday, June 26, 2023 with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating. Memorials can be directed to American Cancer Society or Ohio Health Hospice in her memory. Online condolences can be shared by visiting stoutcrates.com.
