Obituary for Phyllis Louise Powell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Phyllis Louise Powell, 69, of Ormond Beach, FL, went to the lord surrounded by her daughters and close friends on September 19, 2024. She was born on February 13,1955 in Kenton, OH to Verle and Betty (nee Keller) Osbun.

Phyllis dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at the beach, where she created cherished memories with her family. Her warm spirit, compassion, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her. Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and a deep appreciation for family.

As a devoted mother to her four daughters Jamie Powell (Brian Crisp), Amanda Powell (Nick Carlisle), Tiffany Powell, and Brooke Strain (Nick Strain). She nurtured a bond that will forever be cherished. Her love extended to her eight grandchildren Devin Kelly (Hannah Kelly), Brady Wilt (Priscilla Johns), Aryanna Spangler, Ethan Dowell, Ashlynn Spangler, Logan Warmbrod, Mila Strain, and Shaun Strain and four great-grandchildren Elijah Kelly, Noah Kelly, Kasey Wilt, Jaxton Wilt, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

She is survived by her siblings, Roberta Willard (Mike Willard), Robert Osbum (Joni Osbun), and Connie Beazley (David Beazley) a significant other Thomas Fruda Jr. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Betty Osbun and Verle Osbun, sister Mary Musgrave, and a special brother in-law Gene Musgrave.
