Ray Robinson, 73 of Kenton passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born in Kenton on October 14, 1948 to the late Ray and Dorothy Robinson. On May 15, 1970, Ray married the love of his life, Jaylene Gale and she preceded him in death on November 11, 2002. He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Phillips of Kenton, sister, Linda (Richard) Middleton of Marion, a niece, Robin (Bobby) Russell of Caledonia, nephew, Richard (HeeYoung) Middleton of Prospect and a special friend, Susan Bierl. Ray is also survived by four grandchildren; Liberty Phillips, Tanner Phillips, Trenton Robinson and Nashley Robinson. He was preceded in death by his son, Ray Robinson, and granddaughter, Chelsea Phillips. Ray loved working on cars and was a body man, working for B & B Body Shop in Pfeiffer Station and Brims in Kenton. His pride and joy was his 2009 Mustang. He enjoyed attending flea markets, yard sales and simply tinkering in his garage. Ray also had two pet cockatoo’s that he dearly loved. He was also a member of the Amvets Post 1994 in Kenton. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Friday until the time of service. Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Pastor Steve Phillips will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ray to the D.A.V., VFW or Amvets Post 1994.
