Obituary for Richard L. “Rick” Creamer

Richard L. “Rick” Creamer, 74 of Dunkirk passed away at Marion General Hospital on Monday, November 29, 2021.  He was born in Mt. Victory on June 29, 1947 to the late Elmer and Wilma (McCullough) Creamer. He is survived by his life partner of 17 years, Joyce Roof; children, Anthony Creamer and Angalee “Angie” (Grant) Sayre; grandchildren, Colton Creamer, Alexis McHenry and Nate McHenry; sister, Jodine Dilsaver; special aunt, Jean McKinley, along with Joyce’s daughter Kristin (Duane) Hamilton and granddaughters, Emily and Elaina Schaub.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Creamer.

Rick was a graduate of LaRue High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a farmer and retired from Luvata in Delaware.  He was an avid John Deere fan and animal lover.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dave Dooley officiating.  Burial will follow in Wolfcreek Cemetery where the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard will present full military rites.  Visitation will be held for two hours (12:00pm-2:00pm) prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials can be directed to the Hardin County Humane Society and online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com.
