A visitation for Richard “Rick” Lackey will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. In support of Rick, his family has asked everyone to wear their Pittsburgh Steelers gear or anything black and yellow. Burial will take place at a later date.
Rick died unexpectedly on August 17, 2021 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on August 31, 1967 in Bellefontaine to the late Gary Davis and Linda Sue Lackey.
Surviving are his fiance; Brandy Cole of Dunkirk, children; Holly (Jake) Hansen of Florida, Hannah Lackey of Indiana, Trevor (Lillian) Lackey of Indiana, Natalie Lackey of Indiana, Kaelin Probst, Cody (Miryah) Schlatter of Kenton, Kearson (Paul) Blair of Kenton, Madison Cole of home, 9 grandchildren, and numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son; Ryan Probst, and a brother; Jimmy Lackey.
Rick was employed by Hallcon as a site manager.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, who never missed a game. He enjoyed working on cars or anything that he could work with his hands on. Rick’s pride and joy was his family, he loved Brandy with all of his heart and would do anything for his family. He loved to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
