A celebration of life for Richard Slack will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Rick passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence. He was born on September 27, 1961 in Kenton to the late Reginald and Brenda (Park) Slack. He married Tammy Castle and they later divorced.
Surviving is a daughter Jessie (Luke) Lowery of Bellefontaine, son, Brandon Slack of Kenton, sister, Lori Mabrey, 3 grandchildren; Jason Lowery, Liam Richard Lowery, Damian Lowery, 2 aunts, Carol Park Wilcox of Kenton, Bobbie Slack of Forest, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jon Mabrey and 2 uncles, John Wilcox and Jeff Slack.
Richard was a 1980 graduate from Kenton High School.
He worked for himself doing drywall/ construction plus worked several years for Scioto Signs.
Richard loved playing video games and in his younger years loved going mudding on 4-wheelers and was once with the Buckeye 4-Wheelers. He enjoyed building Legos and was very creative with his painting and drawings. Richard was always known for his great sense of humor.
Memorial donations in Richard’s honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
