Obituary for Robert “Bob” Lee Baum

Robert “Bob” Lee Baum, 67 of Kenton passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born in Kenton on September 11, 1953 to the late Harley Baum and Barbara Ferrell. On January 27, 1979 he married Diana Truman, she precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by a brother Johnnie Lee, son Robert “Rob” Baum II and a grandson Damion Dolan.   He is survived by Sharon Baum, a son Rick (Lori) Baum and three daughters Jennifer Miller, Amy (Jeff) Dolan and Becky (Todd) Michael.  Also surviving are his grandchildren; Erik Baum, Shaylynn Brown, Jacob Miller, Jayden Miller, Kaytlin Dolan, Taylor Baum, Erin Bopp, Abby Nichols, Dominic Curl, Toronto Curl, and nine great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers Rick (Vickie) Dunson, Jim (Dee) Shumaker, and his sisters Cindy (David) Worthington, Jeanie Baum.  Robert and his father ran Baum and Son painting and roofing company in Kenton.  He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, kayaking and going to races at LaRue.  He also loved going to the horse races at the Hardin County fair when he was spending time at the steak barn.  There will be a graveside service held on Thursday July 29 at 10:00 at Grove Cemetery, Kenton.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Robert Baum to Not-By-Choice or to the family c/o Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home.  SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
