Ronald A. Phillips 74

of Richwood

A memorial service for Ronald A. Phillips will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the funeral home.

Ron passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1948 in Columbus to the late George and Doris “Bunny” (Kready) Phillips. On September 9, 1973 he married Terry Jividen and she survives.

Also surviving are his son; Ryan (Tara) Phillips, his 2 granddaughters; Rylen, Shelby and 2 brothers; Randy (Marsha) Phillips, and Ritchie Phillips.

Growing up, Ron worked for his grandparents in their gas station and pool room. After graduating he worked several jobs including Wyandot Construction, Goodrich, and eventually drove semi-truck for Imperial Cup and Clark Trucking. After retiring, Ron spent most of his days helping his son run his antique store, New Generation Antiques.

Ron was a member of the Masonic Lodge of LaRue, the Kenton Moose and the Modern Woodsman.

In his free time, Ron enjoyed working at the shop where he got to meet a lot of great people. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and going to sprint car races.

Ron was there for everyone, anywhere, any day. He loved his family dearly and went to any event the grandkids or his son were involved with. Ron was a proud Mason and lived like one. He was a joker and was always up for a funny joke. He never knew a stranger and would talk to anyone like they were friends forever.

Memorial donations in Ron’s honor may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 278 Barks Road W, Marion, OH 43302.

Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.net.
