of Dunkirk, Ohio 

A graveside service for Royce “Bob” Nichols will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, May 9, 2022 at The Dunkirk Cemetery with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and also on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. noon. 

Bob passed away on May 4, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Kenton on July 5, 1948 to the late Robert Nichols and Martha (Stephens) Hatch. On October 21, 1967 he married his wife of 54 years, Belinda Hoyt and she survives in Dunkirk.

Also surviving are his son; Tim (Lori) Nichols of Findlay, his daughter; Kim (Roger) Gerding of Ada, 2 grandsons; Jacob Nichols and Elijah Nichols, 2 granddaughters; Abigail Gerding and Alison Gerding, 1 brother; Terry Nichols of Dayton, and several nieces and nephews. 

Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Susan (Nichols) Coburn and a half brother; Roger Hatch. 

Bob retired from Durez in 2008. 

Bob loved his family dearly. He enjoyed being outside, hunting and fishing with his buddies (Rob). He enjoyed going to football games and spending time with his grandkids. 

Memorial donations in Bob’s honor may be made to CHP Hospice.
