Obituary for Sandra L. Dudek

Sandra L. Dudek, age 69 of Kenton passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 20, 2022.  She was born in Wauseon, Ohio on July 4, 1952 to the late Harold R. and Faye M. (Secondcost) Myers.  She married Frank Dudek on August 2, 1975 and he survives along with their two sons, Matthew (Beryl) Dudek, including four granddaughters, Adella, Steena, Gretta and Willa; and Joshua (Laura) Dudek, including one grandchild “on the way”.  Also surviving are a brother, Gerald (Barb) Myers; sister, Karen Bernard; sister-in-law, Hope Myers and mother-in-law, Helen Dudek.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Myers and father-in-law, Frank Dudek.

She was a graduate of Archbold High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Kent State University. She also received her Master’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University.  She retired from Upper Scioto Valley High School following 32 years teaching English, Advanced Composition and Creative Writing.  She was an active member of Kenton Church of the Nazarene, faithfully serving the Women’s Bible Study and other ministries within the church.  Sandy also was a member of the Mom’s Club, University Club and Investment Club.

A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held at 6:00pm Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Kenton Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Dave Dooley officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:30-6:00pm Monday at the church.  The family requests that monetary donations be directed to Kenton Church of the Nazarene, 13 Jacob Parrot Rd, Kenton, OH 43326 or to the Hardin County Community Foundation (to establish a scholarship fund for USV graduates), PO Box 343 Kenton, Ohio 43326.   Online condolences can be shared with the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.
