Sharon K. (Amerine) Gilbert-Henry was called home at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her residence in Kenton, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 20, 1950, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Gerald and Mable (Stevenson) Amerine.

Surviving are her brothers; Larry E. (Brenda) Amerine of Cincinnati, Gregory (Kathy) Amerine of Springfield, Ohio, Duane G.E. (Debbie) Amerine of Sydney, Corey L. (Corsina) Amerine of Junction City, Oklahoma, her children; Barbara (Chad) Cummins of Jay, Florida, Bryan (Jenn) Gilbert of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bradley Gilbert of West Liberty, Wanda (Micheal) Foreman of West Mansfield, Randie (Cody) Parrett of Kenton, Brandie Henry of Cincinnati, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by sisters; Terry L. Pool, Linda S. Ricketts, brothers; Timothy A. Amerine, Anthony A. Amerine, and a daughter-in-law, Gina (Lovelace) Gilbert.

Sharon was baptized into Christianity on December 30, 2023.

Family was the most important thing to Sharon, and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be planned at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family has asked that you plant a tree in Sharon’s honor or donate to a local animal rescue, as Sharon had a love for animals and watching the trees.
