A graveside service for Shirley F. Castle will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Dunkirk Cemetery with Pastor Karen Rarey officiating. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on October 19, 1943 in Kenton to the late Ervin and Lydia (Castle) Patrick. On July 20, 1962 she married Ernest Castle and he preceded her in death in February of 2011.

Surviving are 3 sons; Edward (Erin) Castle of Delphos, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Castle of Spencerville, Donald Castle of Kenton, grandchildren; Ashley (Kellie) Castle, Lindsey (Chad) Shirk, Conner (Paige) Castle, Jordan Castle, sisters; Sharon (Doug) Burris, Toni Daniels and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Michael Patrick and a daughter-in-law; Jackie Castle.

Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Kenton High School. She was a member of the Kenton Eagles and Kenton Moose and had been attending Ada Full Gospel Church. She worked for Atlas in Dunkirk, she then went to work for Graphic Packaging in Kenton, retiring from there after 17 years.

Family was what was most important to Shirley. She loved to take them camping and have big family get togethers with big meals. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Memorial donations in Shirley’s honor may be made to the Kenton Nursing and Rehab for their activities fund.
