Obituary for Steven Robert Black

Steven Robert Black, 70 of Kenton, passed away at 7:37am on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kenton, Ohio on August 5, 1952 to the late Robert J. and Donna M. (Williams) Black.

Steve is survived by his companion, RaeJean Thompson; son, Steven (Christina) Black; daughters, Tonya Barrett and Christie Clark; grandson, Landon Black, and sister, Susan Lee.

Steve was a graduate of Kenton High School and was the owner of Bob’s Electrical Service. He also worked in the maintenance department for Kenton City Schools. Steve was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force serving as a Minuteman stationed at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

Steve loved his family, friends and his special dog named “Rhonda.” He enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and canning. He liked to smoke meat and host cook-offs for his friends and family to enjoy.

Visitation will be held from 10am – 1pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES-FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 1pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military honors.
