Terry Evans, 51, of Dunkirk, passed away on January 7, 2022 in Lima, OH. He was born on February 10, 1970 in Kenton. He is survived by his wife, Christina (Aurand) Evans; children, Mackenzie (Evan) Johnson, Spencer Evans and Sophia Evans; step-children, Taylor (Gary) Chase, Caleb Wentz, Brandon and Dylan Hoop; grandchildren, Paislee and Hudson (who called him “Paw Paw”) sister, Jodi (David) Beckley; brothers, Lt. Colonel Michael (Nicky) Evans, and Robert (Shannon) Evans; step-father, Dan Barringer and step-sisters, Amy (Rich) Sleasman and Melissa (Jason) Eagon.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford Evans and Lois M. (Dendinger) Barringer and his twin brother, Timothy Evans.
Terry was a 1989 graduate of Hardin-Northern High School where he played football, basketball and was on the state-qualifying track team. He served as a civilian contractor in Iraq as a Hazmat Specialist Lead from 2008-2011 and was currently the Dunkirk Village Superintendent. He loved adventure, taking him to many places in his travels, with his favorite destination being Key West, FL. He loved the Jeep lifestyle and wearing his “Hey Dudes”. Terry would never hesitate to help anyone and had an unforgettable smile. Terry also leaves behind many friends and “grand-furbabies”.
A time of visitation will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME from 1:00pm-6:00pm Wednesday, January 12, 2022 where a Celebration of Terry’s Life will begin at 6:00pm. Pastor Gregg King will officiate and the family asks that everyone who is in attendance dress casual, be it “Jeep”, “Hey Dudes” or “OSU gear”, please come in casual clothes.
