Thomas C. Mabrey, age 82 of Kenton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 27, 2021.  

Tom was born in Kenton on January 9, 1939 to the late Lloyd Albert and Velma Madge (Holden) Mabrey.

He was married to the late Beverly (Lease) and they divorced.

He is survived by son Timothy (Lynn) Mabrey of Liberty, IN, daughter Pamela (Roy Lightner III) of Kenton, grandchildren Shelby Dague, Miranda Dague, Gracie Lightner, and Royce Lightner, great-grandchildren Haeven Burd, Aleida Lima-Sanchez, and Raylin Ann Fogle, brothers Steve (Theresa Cukovecki) of Xenia, Dan (Mary) Mabrey of Mt. Victory, and John Mabrey of Kenton, stepbrother Don (Bonnie) Vermillion of Kenton, stepsister Linda (Alan) Struble of Mt. Victory, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by daughter Laura Mabrey McDougal, brothers, David (Nancy) Mabrey, Lloyd “Bud” (Virginia) Mabrey, and sisters Katheryn and Mary Lou Mabrey.

Tom served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Amvets Post 1994, where he delivered fish fry dinners for many years. He then worked for Broderick’s for many years. Tom loved his dog, Dusty, and enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, Baking, Cooking and his family.

A graveside service will begin at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Grove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and follow social distancing. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Tom to Universal Home Health and Hospice.
