Thomas E. “Tom” Lotz, 79 of Kenton passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his residence. Tom was born in Kenton on February 15, 1942 to the late Oscar W. and Jerry (McCullough) Lotz. He married Grace E. Kennedy on June 8, 1983 and she survives. Tom is also survived by his son, Tim (Tammy) Lotz, step sons; Richard Dunson, Dale (Nicole) Dunson and Tracey Seiler all of Kenton, sister, Beverly Mentzer of Bellefontaine, three grandchildren; Amanda (Cody) Caudill, Skylar Lotz, Theron Gammon and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Judy Marie Lotz. Mr. Lotz from Rockwell International and most recently worked at HBD in Bellefontaine. Tom loved music and was a local DJ for many years. He served as a Troop Leader for Boy Scouts Pack 121, Kenton for many years and also served on the Hardin County REACT Squad for years. He was an avid Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengal fan and was a member of the Kenton Eagles #2163, Indian Lake Moose Lodge and a Life Member of Kenton Amvets Post 1994. Visitation for Tom will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM Friday, December 10, 2021 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery.
