Tim Laubis passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at 9:46 a.m. at his home. He was born on June 22, 1952 in Kenton, Ohio at Hardin Memorial Hospital to Wilbur and Helen (Bushong) Laubis. Tim graduated from Kenton Senior High School in 1970. After high school he joined the Army and then returned to Kenton where he worked at Rockwell International, North Electric and then for 29 years at the Ohio Department of Transportation where he worked as a highway and bridge inspector until he retired. He also plowed snow for Hardin County during his working years, taking great pride in keeping the roads clear for his community, even working sometimes on Christmas Day. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Kenton, Ohio and Ada VFW. He loved traveling and swimming with his wife, Amy Rose, whom he adored. They loved collecting seashells on the Jersey Shore and spending time with grandchildren together. He was a talented woodworker and could be counted on to build or fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Amy Rose, his children Shaun Laubis, Shiloh Archer (Lyndi), Silver Archer (Paula) and Tiffany Grinstead (John); his eleven grandchildren, Arielle, Kayla, Silver Jr., Braylin, Alysia, Madison, Leighton, Eden, Kellen, Sam and Grace; and his siblings Tom Laubis (Kris), Terry Laubis (Jodi), Todd Laubis (Lori), and Tina Lee (Jack). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Uncle (Red) Allen Laubis, whom he cherished from childhood, as well as his parents Wilbur and Helen and many beloved Aunts and Uncles. Tim will be forever remembered by his kindness, loyalty and patience. He was a gentle and loving man who left behind a legacy of love in those whose lives he touched. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A family service will be held in September.
