Obituary for Timothy R. Sons

Timothy R. Sons age 63 of Forest, passed away at Hardin Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2022. He was born in Kenton to Edward M. and Mary J. (Born) Sons on September 3, 1959, his father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Forest. Tim married Portia Brandeberry on June 9, 1979.

Surviving is his wife PortiaSons of Forest, children Chad (Alyssa) Sons of Mt. Cory, Lindsey (Matt) Berger of Forest, grandchildren Shae, Connor, Brody, Colin, and Maci, brother Gary (Deb) Sons of Forest and many nieces, nephews and cousins, best friend Denny Gillfillan. He is preceded in death by a son Jeremy Sons, and sister Carol Livingston.

Tim was a 1977 Riverdale High School graduate. He attended the Good Hope Lutheran Church of Arlington. Tim was the owner of Tim Sons Distributing as well as a machine operator at Hearthside Food Solutions. He retired from Jackson Township Trustee and volunteered as a fire fighter and EMT for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling to Florida for the warm weather and was an avid Ohio State University fan. Tim was a proud grandpa to his 5 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at Clark Shields Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. The family invites friends to show support by wearing your OSU apparel, or any Florida shirts or hats for visitation that will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2022 from 4-8pm and Wednesday September 21, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
