Funeral services for Violet Cole will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Norman Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Violet died on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1937 in Kenton to the late John and Juanita (Stringer) Kemmere. On July 4, 2006 she married David Cole and he survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 daughters;Judy (Steve) Campbell of Kenton, Melody Caudill of Lima, 4 sisters; Louise (Russ) McMillion of Dunkirk, Charlotte Young of Parris, CA, Jane Crabtree of Santan Valley, AZ, Diane (Dennis) Clay of Joplin, MO, a brother; John (Linda) Kemmere of Kenton, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons; Gary Scott, Ronnie Dean Scott, 2 infant siblings, and a step-mother; Lorrain Kemmere.

Violet attended the Kenton Full Gospel Church in Kenton.

She enjoyed flowers and gardening but her true passion was her family. Violet loved to go shopping with her daughters and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a quiet but friendly person. 

Memorial donations in Violet’s honor may be made to the Victory Chapel of Praise in Harrod.
