Obituary for Wanda Jean Risner

Wanda Jean Risner, age 67 of Kenton, passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.  She was born in Kenton on February 6, 1956 to the late Walter C. and Helen M. (Hildreth) Lansdown.  On May 4, 1974, she married Paul R. Risner and he survives in Kenton.

Wanda is also survived by her daughters, Heather Risner and Jamie Risner; special niece, Jeri Clum; sisters, Betty (Tom) Draime and Terri Lansdown; grandchildren, Jade Clark, Kylee Baker, AJ Hayter and Kynzie Baker; great-grandchildren, Orlaigh Bowersock and Myles Hites, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Lee Lansdown and sister, Edith Shirk.

Wanda was a 1974 graduate of Kenton High School.  She liked to garden, travel, and loved her family deeply.  She was a warrior and fighter.  She liked the Ohio State Buckeyes and attended the Kenton Nazarene Church.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Committal Building in Grove Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
