William W. Field age 78, of LaRue, died Saturday May 9, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on February 4, 1942 to the late Harvey H. and Mary E. (Coles) Field. He married Ann Bell on March 10, 1962 and she survives in LaRue. He is also survived by his daughter Lori Thompson of Harpster, 5 grandchildren Elizabeth Field, Michael Field, Daniel Field, Shaina Thompson and Travis Thompson, 5 great grandchildren, a brother Patrick (Darcy) Field of Marion and a sister Linda Penwell of Upper Sandusky. He was preceded in death by his son Jon W. Field on June 29, 2009.
Bill graduated from the Carnegie Institute of Medical Technology. He was employed as a laboratory technician in Van Wert and Defiance and then went onto be a pharmaceutical salesman for 30 years. He was also the owner and operator of Marseilles Service Center. Bill was an avid OSU Buckeyes football fan where he an Ann attended many bowl games including Rose Bowls and two National Championships. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events. Bill took great joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held. A public graveside committal service will be held at approximately 11:00AM Thurs. May 14, 2020 in Chandler Cemetery, Marseilles. Visitation will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
