of Kenton

Funeral services for Wilma Joan Albert will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  

Wilma died on March 20, 2022 at the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 18,1928 in Dunkirk with her twin sister, Wanda to the late Burley and Fairy (Getz) Long. She married the love of her life and husband of 75 years, Walter Albert on February 23,1946 and he survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 daughters; Karin Sue (Doug) Seiler, Joan Arlene (Dennis) Morris, 1 son; Dale Wayne (Paula) Albert, daughter-in-law; Amy Albert, 10 grandkids; Douglas Jay (Emily) Seiler Jr., Kelli Sue Seiler, Lawrence Oskins Jr., Tia Lee (Josh) Refner, Tai Lynn Stinson, Derrick Albert, Dustin Albert, Logan Jay (Hillary) Albert, Sydney Michelle (Shane Bugner) Albert, Jessica Albert, and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Francis Welty Roby, Dallas Long Sr., Norma Jean Amweg, Caroline Byers, James Long, her twin sister Wanda Jean Sutermeister, 1 daughter; LeeAnn Murraya and 1 son; Jay Walter Albert.

Wilma was a 1946 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked for Essex Wire until her husband purchased the bowling alley and she went to work with him.  They own and operate Hillcrest Lanes to this day.

Wilma enjoyed camping in the summers and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed talking with people at the bowling alley and of course she liked to bowl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
