Worthy Lee Hassan, 69, of Kenton passed away Monday, October 4, 2021.

Worthy was born on August 29, 1952 in Kenton, Ohio to the late George and Linda (McEntee) Hassan. He is survived by his daughters: Wendy (David) Rodenberger of Kenton, Ohio and Stacy (Scott) Egbert of Mt. Blanchard, Ohio; grandchildren: Jenna Rodenberger, Ryder, Raya, Ramsey and Romyn Egbert and brothers: George (Sue) Hassan, Richard (June) Hassan and Andrew Hassan and a great-grandson Broxton Rodenberger. He was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua Rodenberger.

Worthy was a 1971 graduate of Riverdale High School.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1972 and retired from the United States Air Force in 1993, he then worked for the Tucson VA Medical Center for ten more years before retiring.  Worthy was most proud of the years he was able to serve as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic for the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer and one of his favorite memories was a trip down the East Coast golfing with his oldest grandson.

Worthy donated his body to Science Care to improve scientific research and education.  There will be a family gathering for interment of his ashes at a later date in the Grove Cemetery, Kenton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Worthy’s honor to Kindred Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
