The Ohio State Highway Patrol is remembering a trooper who died while serving while on duty on this date in 1935.
Sergeant John F. Best was the chief of highway patrol radio operations at the Findlay Post.
He died after he was electrocuted while testing a receiving set at the broadcasting station.
Sergeant Best was a member of the 1st Academy Class and graduated in November of 1933.
His hometown was Bellefontaine.
